Speedball, Heroin & Cocaine Information

When cocaine and heroin are used together it is known as a “Speedball.” Scientifically not a whole lot is known about the ways that the two drugs interact together however if taken together can be extremely dangerous to users and negatively affect the body function.

Many users describe the use of a “Speedball” as the high stimulant effect of cocaine with the depressive “low” effect of heroin. Speedball addiction, though not as common as heroin or cocaine addiction is very dangerous.

The heroin, cocaine speedball high is very addictive and it is nearly impossible for anyone to survive for long periods of time using these two drugs together.

Cocaine Information

Cocaine is one of the most addictive drugs on the market. Once a person tries the drug, the euphoric effects, which last only a few minutes.

The drug is composed of white powder. Crack cocaine looks like small light brown rocks. Cocaine is used by sniffing or snorting it, injecting it and smoking it. Crack cocaine is smoked. If someone is snorting cocaine they will sometimes carry it in folded up paper, plastic bags or small plastic or glass viles. Oftentimes they will also carry a razor blade, a rolled up dollar bill or a straw for snorting the drug.

Those using crack may smoke the drug through a crack pipe. These are commonly made with aluminum foil or soda cans. Crack is processed from cocaine into the rock form that can be smoked.

Whether the drug is snorted (sniffed), smoked or injected it does extreme damage to the body and the organs. Injecting the drug also poses a great risk because of the risk of diseases like HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis through the use of needles.

Cocaine, used with heroin, alcohol, any other drug or alone can pose a hazardous risk to users. One other major risk that is common with cocaine is when users combine the drug with alcohol. This creates a problem in the body where a something is made called Cocaethylene. This happens when the liver combines alcohol and cocaine and increases cocaine’s effects. The result can be risk of sudden death.

Cocaine abuse, speedball abuse or any drug use is a very serious issue. Steps must be taken immediately to get the individual help on an immediate basis.
