Clothing
In the past few decades many
people have naively followed down the path of chemical
treatments for both real and imagined diseases, illnesses and
disorders. Often this is done without knowing the truth about
the causes of their ailments, what kind of safe remedies are
available or what the adverse reactions are of their newly
prescribed drugs.
This is often the case with drug
addiction and pharmacotherapy. Opiate addiction, for example,
spans more than a century. In an effort to handle dependence
on this central nervous system (CNS) depressant,
“experts” began to market other drugs as cures
through the timeline to present day such as morphine and
heroin. Today methadone clinics are found all over the
country for this same reason. The main problem is that the
problem is never solved and the individual is still addicted
to the same type or similar drug.
A person addicted to drugs can
display many types of abnormal behavior, ranging from
depression to anxiety to psychosis and dementia. The same
field of “experts” continues to try to put people
on more drugs for these symptoms and many others.
What’s worse is that each patient will end up on
several new drugs without first trying to stop the addiction,
which will handle the symptoms by itself in most
cases.
The trend continues with
antipsychotic drugs. In the last three and a half years, the
increase in antipsychotic prescriptions rose by more than 85
percent, with the sharpest increase being in the 1-10
year-old age group. Does this mean that every year millions
more people become crazy and we’ll end up as a whole
nation on drugs? Definitely not, but it appears that it could
be the intentions of some, as with this example there are now
nine different categories of symptoms where antipsychotic
drugs are being used, even non-psychotic
“disorders.”
“Watch out for false
prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly
they are ferocious wolves.”
It is intriguing how many of
these damaging drugs also magically find new uses in totally
different settings and circumstances. One only needs to
periodically check national media sources to find the latest
financed studies that indicate one drug could possibly be
used as treatment for a different ailment than it was
approved for, though it was safe for neither to begin with in
most cases.
Generations ago, our forefathers
didn’t have the benefit of modern science to create new
pharmaceuticals to combat the ever-increasing types of
diseases, yet they still flourished and prospered. One would
think that the ‘chicken or the egg’ analogy
applies to some current afflictions and their drug
treatments.
With regards to drug addiction,
there is at least one group that believes in the full
rehabilitation of the individual instead of the latest drug
patch. The Narconon Drug Rehabilitation and Education Program
is based on research and developments by American author and
humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard. The Narconon program has been
extremely successful in helping people to overcome addiction
for over three decades and millions recognize the
effectiveness of the drug-free methodology applied, which is
why the network continues to grow worldwide.
